Values define how you do the work. It’s not enough that you get the work done. Think about the companies you love, the companies you tell people about. You don’t brag on the fact that they create a widget. You rave about your experience or their process or their community involvement. How you get work done matters to your customers. It could be the deciding factor in where they put their money. A team that has common values is more likely to deliver what your customers expect every time.
